Barista Short Course

Course code: Statement of Attainment in SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality
Gain skills in setting up, operating, maintaining, and cleaning coffee equipment including the espresso machine and grinder. You will also learn hygienic practices for food safety.

This short course will give you the competitive edge as you learn coffee service skills and hygienic practices for food safety. Graduates will be able to work with some independence and under limited supervision across these areas.

This short course provides a pathway to work organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, resorts, cafes and coffee shops and is a good foundation into a Hospitality traineeship**.

This short course is a real opportunity for you to gain employment.

The successful achievement of this skill set will result in a Statement of Attainment in SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality and requires you to complete the two units listed below:

  • SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety
  • SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee

Delivery locations include:

**Suitable work attire must be worn to training and work placement
