Course code: Statement of Attainment in SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality
Gain hospitality skills in coffee making, responsible service of alcohol. You will also learn food and beverage service and hygienic practices for food safety. A great starter course for anyone wanting to work in hospitality.

This cafe and club short course will give you the competitive edge as you learn food and beverage service skills in both coffee service and bar service and it also includes hygienic practices for food safety. Upon completion, graduates will be able to work with some independence and under limited supervision across these areas.

This short Cafe and Club skills course provides a pathway to work businesses such as restaurants, hotels, motels, resorts, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops and is a good foundation into a Hospitality traineeship**.

For students who successfully complete the short course and show suitable skills, traineeship positions are on offer. This short course is a real opportunity for you to gain employment.

When you successfully achieve this skill set you will receive a Statement of Attainment in SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality. The skill set includes the units listed below:

  • SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety
  • SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol
  • SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee
  • SITHFAB007 Serve food and beverages
