Course code: Statement of Attainment in SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality
Gain skills in setting up, operating, maintaining, and cleaning coffee equipment including the espresso machine and grinder. You will also learn food and beverage service and hygienic practices for food safety.

This short course will give you the competitive edge as you learn food and beverage service and hygienic practices for food safety. Graduates will be able to work with some independence and under limited supervision across these areas.

This skills course provides a pathway to work organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, resorts, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops and is a good foundation into a Hospitality traineeship**.

For students that successfully complete the short course and show suitable skills, traineeship positions are on offer. This short course is a real opportunity for you to gain employment.

The successful achievement of this skill set will result in a Statement of Attainment in SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality and requires you to complete the units listed below:

  • SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety
  • SITHFAB004 Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages
  • SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee
  • SITHFAB007 Serve food and beverages
