Port Douglas and the Daintree

Port Douglas is just an hour’s drive north from Cairns via the spectacular Great Barrier Reef Drive, a coastal road where the rainforest literally meets the reef! Discover the breathtaking northern tropics of Australia through the pristine Daintree Rainforest walks and while snorkelling the reef.

Fraser Island

Fraser Island is the world’s largest sand island. A place of exceptional beauty, with its long uninterrupted white beaches, striking coloured sand cliffs, pristine freshwater lakes, and its ancient rainforests growing on sand dunes along crystal-clear creeks, it is very deserving of its World Heritage listing.

North Stradbroke Island

North Stradbroke Island, colloquially referred to as Straddie, is a sub-tropical island located 30 km south east of Brisbane and is the world’s second largest sand island after Fraser Island. Straddie is the perfect spot for a holiday, short break or day trip. Escape the city and relax while taking in the island lifestyle and enjoying the great outdoors.

Moreton Island

Moreton Island is a natural wonder and is only a 75-minute ferry ride from Brisbane! Often referred to as nature’s theme park, there is so much to do on Moreton. Sand tobogganing, snorkelling sunken shipwrecks, visiting Cape Moreton lighthouse, swimming in Blue Lagoon, watching the majestic humpback whales as they migrate and play off the coast, four-wheel driving, hand feeding wild bottlenose dolphins at Tangalooma Island Resort – these are just some of the more popular activities to discover on this magnificent sand island.
