We offer ELICOS and VET courses to domestic and international students (CRICOS) have 6 campuses across Australia and currently have over 1500 students enrolled. About the Role

We are seeking full time technical sales reps to join our team – 1 in Sydney and 1 in Brisbane. This role is responsible for national technical support to our domestic and international partners and implementation of strategic business development sales plan to grow our number of students through the right partners to promote us in Australia and overseas. Note this role is not selling educational course to individual students rather promoting the educational courses to those who sell courses to individual students.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be a significant part of a growing team focussed on laying strong foundations for the continued success and growth of the college. The successful applicant will need to have sales experience specifically within the education sector (experience selling educational courses to individual students will not be considered relevant) and have demonstrated a real go-getter attitude.

The duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the ongoing viability of NCVE through conducting focused marketing and business development activities that result in partnerships that provide a consistent supply of students to fulfil our training requirements
  • Market our courses to Education/Migration Agents who then on sell our courses.
  • Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with these education/migration agents/agencies.
  • Acquiring and updating knowledge of partner’s education/migration agents about the school, academic programs and student conditions.
  • Compile and constantly update a list of prospective education/migration agents/agencies who we can partner with to sell our courses. Use tact to make the right sort of relationship to recruit only genuine students who will not affect the schools’ ratings with the Department of Home Affairs.
  • Visiting our partner prospective partner education/migration Agents to establish and fulfil partnership opportunities that help us to grow our business.
  • Track sales made via established channels (education and migration agents/agencies) and report to management compliance with established budgets/targets.
  • Marketing and Sales of both our ELICOS and VET CRICOS programs to stakeholders (other than Migration/ Education Agents/ Agencies) across regions and markets.
  • Ensure all referral partners maintain records as per NCVE policy and student/client confidentiality is maintained.
  • Following up with partners to ensure satisfaction with our administrative and academic services, resolving any problems associated with the administrative part of the business or student’s problems.
  • quoting and negotiating prices and commission terms, and completing contracts and recording sales
  • Uphold the Mission & Objectives of NCVE through your daily actions, attitudes and behaviours.

Skills & Experience:

  • Formal qualification in Marketing/Business or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in the Industry of Education with International students other than selling courses to individual students
  • Previous experience working in an International School in a sales role is essential.
  • Must be able to speak Spanish, English (fluent essential) and Portuguese (desirable) to be able to interact with our partners in Australia and the Americas.
  • Sales, marketing and customer service experience to be able to deliver excellent customer service to our partners and students.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Aptitude at establishing strong rapport with people from all cultures and demonstrated experience in relationship management.
  • An ability to work autonomously, whilst also working as part of a dynamic and driven team.
  • Willing to travel internationally. Periodic trips to the Americas will be required. Knowledge of their culture is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal, written), with the ability to influence in all languages is essential.

To be eligible to become an NCVE VET teacher you must:

  • be able to demonstrate vocational competency at least to the level of the training package being delivered
  • have current industry skills relevant to the teaching position
  • hold one of the following qualifications
    • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAEASS502* and TAELLN411*
    • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
    • Diploma in Vocational Education and Training
    • a higher level qualification in adult education

*For those holding a TAE40110 these two additional units are required to be obtained prior to 1 April 2019 to meet compliance requirements.

To be eligible to become an NCVE English Teacher you must have:

  • a degree or diploma of at least three years full-time or equivalent (teaching or other)
  • a suitable TESOL qualification eg. DELTA / CELTA (preferred) or qualification that contains TESOL as a method.
  • Experience in teaching any/all of the following ELICOS Courses:
    • General English Levels 1-6;
    • IELTS;
    • EAP – English For Academic Purposes;
    • Cambridge Examination Courses in FCE/CAE
    • Business English;
    • Study Tours.
